3 Steps to Follow to Place Your New Bezels on Your Watch

Being able to pick the bezel you want your watch to have can be a real luxury for many. However, regardless of how pretty and impactful a bezel may be on the watch’s look, one thing is for sure: it can be a serious pain to try and stick them onto a watch. This is a problem that modders generally face, and while some may see it as a rewarding and fun challenge, this might not be true for everyone. After all, many have found themselves frustrated trying to move the adhesive in place and get the brand-new bezels onto the watch.

Of course, one can always reach out to the local watch store to get this done. This will undoubtedly save a lot of time or headache. However, if you are adamant about doing it by yourself, then here are the steps you need to follow:

Step 1. Grab the Equipment

First things first, you need the right tools for the job. You will want the bezel insert you want for the watch and an adhesive ring to stick the bezel to the watch. Just make sure that the bezel is of high quality to give your watch the best look possible. When it comes to picking the adhesive ring, some people opt for glue-like ones while others opt for tissue-like ones. The latter is easier to work with. Also, grab tweezers to work with the adhesive.

Regardless of what bezel or adhesive ring you pick, make sure they all fit each other and the watch. Otherwise, you’ll be left with components that do not fit, ending up as a waste of money and time.

Step 2. Place the Ring on the Insert

With your adhesive ring, bezel, and tweezer right by you, it is time to get to work.

Start by using the tweezers to pull off the cover on the adhesive to expose it. With that, carefully take your bezel insert and push it down on the adhesive ring. This should leave your sticky side of the ring attached to the bezel, where the covered side of the adhesive ring is what’s left exposed.

Step 3. Change the Bezel

Now that your bezel has the adhesive ring in it, it is time to remove the cover on the other side. Again, use your tweezers to remove the cover and then gently place the bezel on the watch. Make sure everything is aligned correctly so that you do not have to deal with an adhesive-ruined watch. Take your time and be patient, as the final results will be determined by how well you place the bezel on the watch.

Conclusion

After reading through the steps above, you might believe that the whole effort is simple. This would be somewhat true if you had plenty of experience. However, since you’re here, chances are you’re new to this. Remember, this process, although simple, can be quite tedious. Never rush the process, and always check and check again to make sure everything fits before you even start sticking the brand-new bezel onto your watch. Once again, if you are having trouble doing this and do not feel confident, feel free to reach out to your local watch store. They’ll get it done for you, ensuring that the watch comes out perfect.
